The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby

The setting is Edinburgh in the 1800s, the hero a terrier dog named Bobby. It's based on a true story about a dog so beloved that he wins the hearts of the entire city. Bobby was so loyal to his master that he even guarded his grave after he passed away. The real Bobby was a silky haired terrier, but the makers of this movie were smart enough to cast a WESTIE! Prepare to laugh and cry and and fall in love with Bobby.

This award-winning series from BBC Scotland follows the life of Hamish MacBeth, a police constable in the small Scottish town of Lochdubh. His constant sidekick is Wee Jock, his adorable and tenacious westie. All three seasons are available at Amazon.

This show is what led me to adopt my own westie! I'd always wanted a westie, but after watching all three seasons in a matter of weeks, I started perusing petfinder for westies (even though there was no way I could adopt a westie at that point in my life, or so I said). The very first westie that came up in my search was Kayla, and the rest is history!

Modcloth has some fabulous westie/scottie dog wellies (ie rainboots) for $34.99. I love my pair and get complements whenever I wear them! FYI, Modcloth doesn't tend to keep inventory around for very long so if you want them, go and get em'!

My favorite holiday find!!!!

I was looking for a westie hot water bottle cover and instead came across this adorable plush westie on Amazon. It starts as a stuffed toy but can flatten into a soft pillow. And it also contains an easily removable tummy insert that can be heated in a microwave so the pillow can be used as a heating pad. The insert is also lavender flavored to help you sleep! I've already gotten one for my dog's godmother and it's the cutest thing I've seen in ages.

Lots of Westie/Scottie PJs at Macy's!!!!

Macy's always has great holiday pajama sets and this year is no different. In addition to several black scottie sets, they have a couple that can definitely pass for westies... :) Most don't seem to be online, but I've seen red pj bottoms with little westies, a blue flannel set with westie/scotties, a black set with white westies, and my favorite is this yellow set with the cutest terriers:

Westie PJs with Kim Niles design! - UPDATE

Most westie lovers are familiar with the adorable art of Kim Niles. JCPenney's currently has christmas pajama bottoms that feature one of her westie designs. Last I checked they were on sale for $9.99. I've been wearing my pair almost daily for the past month (don't worry, I laundered them several times as well) and absolutely love how cute and comfortable they are. They aren't available online right now but should still be in stock in most stores.
